Hazard

Thick and reactive wind slab sitting on a weak foundation. Over the past 12 hours we received over 10″ of new snow, combined with strong winds from the W. This load is sitting on a weak structure made of facets, melt freeze crust, and basal depth hoar. Observed plenty of cracking and collapsing.

Riding Quality

Variable conditions. Wind affected and slabby in exposed areas. Some decent skiing in the more protected areas. Brutal winds, low visibiity and cold temps made for a challenging day.
