#1 Large storm slabs possible at all asp & elev
#2 Large persistent slabs unlikely on on E-S across all elev
Skies were overcast with on and off flurries most of the day and a trace of accumulation. Winds were calm. Temps were crisp and topping out at 14F.
HS generally in the 220-260cm range above 9,000′. Ski pen 15cm. Boot pen 30-60cm depending on aspect. Dug a couple pits and found good snow structure in the upper meter+ of the pack, with the notable exception of a melt freeze/facets combo at the new/old interface down 80cm that was reactive to stability tests. No cracking or collapsing observed. Some sluffing.
