Today was a very nice day on the pass. S Diamond was wind scoured, but N Diamond looked very smooth...arrived much later than usual and took the superhighway to the crest and took two laps on the N. Maybe 4" from yesterday's storm up high, resting on a pretty firm base. In the trees there was lurking fear, but 8 - 10" fluff was enough to pay you no mind (keep your tips up).
Took out the powder snowshoes for their first tour and really enjoyed the float. It was very cool to see all the mixed parties out there, tele, snowboarders on shoes, splits and lots of smiles.
Still a little rocky on the transition from the upper alpine to the plateau, but beat the hell out of Eldora's terrain, that's for sure.
Camera not focusing well these days, but here's an example of the fun.
