Been doing a ton of riding. Racing season has started...

...I'm already tired of eating dust. We need rain! And more than what fell yesterday.

Nice - some good 29er stoke for sure! Size does matter, eh?

Nice! I have yet to do a float trip of any kind, but the Yampa looks beautiful!

After I ran my first 5k fun-run this morning (Houska Houska 5k - all proceeds benefit the PVH Cancer Center and local Bone-Marrow Doner Programs) I swapped my high-school track nut-huggers for Carhartts and drove my huge gas guzzling truck up to Estes Park to visit a friend, drink some beer at Ed's Cantina, and ride some fucking horses!

Image
5k with the support of friends and family. Check this run out next year, it's got a very mellow vibe, is a lot of fun (runs mostly along the Poudre River off Lemay and Riverside) and supports a great cause. First real run since the bone-marrow transplant - felt great!

Miss Courtney's fancy boots. I seem to have a lot of very cool female friends who are really into horses...

Some beautiful leatherwork on Courtney's saddle.

Me looking like a total badass.

More extreme gardening stoke. This time from the front yard. Tore out the yard and putting in something better. Woot.

Last Friday...
Sorry for the poor quality, they were shot with an iPod.

16.5 miles round-trip and Carver ran them all...with breaks thrown in for him to catch his breath.

The wildflowers are going off right now. Get em while they're hot!

I hiked back to Hiamovi Tower in Indian Peaks with my buddy Kent and climbed some variation of the SE Buttress Route (5.7, III) this past weekend. That whole West side of the Park and Indian Peaks is pretty cool. The route wasn't anything to write home about, but it was a fun little chosseneering adventure none the less.

Image

The wildflowers were really peaking over Stone Pass.

Love that pic from the top looking down towards the lake. Excellent summer stoke, I don't even climb.

Nice TR! Way to get out there and climb the less traveled route. The wildflowers are really going off this year.
