Special thanks to Pilot Murph, who gave me some helpful photo taking tips when I ran into him a couple weeks ago that helped capture this shot. |
Nice shot. Glad the tip helped.
Nothing improves the cardio like getting out there and hiking for turns! |

I just happened to hit a trigger point in the slope...a rock outcropping that was burried and not visible from the surface. Might not have slid if I didn't pass over the right spot. I'm not a lucky person, so this doesn't surprise me. I hope nobody finds a weak trigger on S. Diamond! Be safe, fellow rippers. |

More unsettled weather today at CP. Light to moderate snow all day with heavier squalls. Around 4-6 addtional snow. Found a beanie next to the skin track. Since there was one other vehicle, my guess was easy. Big thanks for the reward, good carbs for one more lap!

Wow, winter is back!! Sorry d.e. Blower snow, faceshots, breaking trail in knee deep. It snowed or was snowing everyday I was up there this past week -14th, 15th, 17th, 19th, 20th. Did not see any avalanche activity, other than some minor point release sluffs. CAIC has issued a avalanche watch till 12:00 tommorrow. Here are a couple pics of the GF taken yesterday.

Sunday was pretty good. Winter is nearly here...and it's only the end of Feb!
Fun little line in the trees.
It was really starting to dump at the end of the day. Roads were slick. We saw 2 different vehicles off the side of 14. One not too bad, it only took out a tree. Another one was not visible from the road and needed a tow truck with a long winch line. CSP and the Sheriff were on hand for that one. With cold temps and shade, be careful for the next week or so if you are heading up the canyon. |

| Corn season can wait. I skied thigh deep high speed blower pillow shots in the trees on Saturday. No complaints here. |

^^ditto. Now when I'm aimed at deadfall I'm thinking about landing not exploding my tib/fib.
Kudos to all for the good decision making going on around S. Diamond on Sunday... |

| Yes, things seem to be shaping up. The snowpack has changed a lot too. Skied the same lines two weeks in a row. This time there was no whoomfing and the deeper snow seemed more solid. Oh an no avalanches this time either. |
