Yep, it were good, if a bit busy. Wind/temps/low vis kept the camera in the truck. Windslab forming/formed in several spots up on the Monkey ridge, worth being aware of...things were sort of swirling around, though seemed to be most evident on NNE.

Main runs were pillowy and lower trees were really nice fluff.

As usual, some interesting decision making on display, and hopefully the good times being had don't create too strong of a false sense of security...have fun be safe...

^^Ditto, was at CP 7:30-11:30am today. Northwest given CP some lovin! 4 laps in the trees, mellow lines were barely steep enough to get any kind of speed.

Unusual sight this season at CP lot

nice

yep, nw-n winds in effect

Snow on the bench was turning into soft slab. Trees were untouched. Leavin the lot I saw a party of two on looker left side on S. Diamond above the rock band. Looked like a gnarly line. Didn't stick around to see if they dropped in. Have fun, the gettin is good right now.

FYI, if you missed the CAIC report. We triggered a small but deep slide yesterday on an east facing aspect near paradise/longest. Be careful out there!

I guess this is old news for most at this point, I just wanted to share. Real good up there this weekend. From yesterday...

Special thanks to Pilot Murph, who gave me some helpful photo taking tips when I ran into him a couple weeks ago that helped capture this shot.

Hey Pilotmurph, the CAIC gave the depth at 2.5 feet, yikes. What would you say the width was? Most of S. Diamond was skiied by 3pm today, with everything staying put.

Oh my bad, guess I got you guys mixed up. Thanks telejet9. Also thanks for the motivation to improve my cardio from watching you lap the "monkey bowl" faster than I could get my skins back on.

I guess it doesn't need to be a mystery, so here it is: Sometimes when pro photographers need to get the shot that's gonna pay the bills, they instruct their subjects to get up a bunch of speed and take one big cut once they get level with the camera. That worked like a charm, but also having a buddy along with a burst mode function on his camera didn't hurt.

Glad you liked the picture, looking forward to sharing more sometime.
