Thanks for the head's up on the naming.
As for the lone line, it was a snowboarder and the tracks seemed to be a week old, if not at least a few days. On closeup view, the top portion looked rocky and he did nip a few on the first several turns before entering the lower 2/3 of the chute.
To the north side of No Name in the large east-facing bowl area, there were at least two moderate slides each about 150-200' wide, propagated near the top on rock bands that ran down about 400'.
Pappagiorgio? No Name is what you are looking at here. If you see it in summer you'll be amazed. That whole face is made up of rock slabs. Thats why it slides sooooooo big. _________________ Do everything in moderation. Including moderation.
didn't take any pictures because it wasn't a picture day. it was cold and really windy, but the snow was good. winter has returned to the CP area, and conditions are good. we found anywhere from 6" to 15" yesterday, depending on where and how high we were.

CP area, 10k to 11.5k - both above and below treeline. snow was OK above treeline - pretty wind affected in places so we didn't stay there long. tree shots were like heaven.

Glad someone appreciates a double entendre. _________________ "And one of the things we've got to make sure that we do is anything" - GW Bush, Wash. DC, 5/7/2002

Friday:
Got about 400' below the saddle before I had to turn back because partner got sick. The snow was nice on the way down with about boot deep pow. The snow showed no signs of instablitity.
Sunday:
Got a late start by leaving the fort by 11. Had a new partner along with a dog (it's first time out). Dog did great. Made it to the top and skied down at dusk. Bluebird day and very little wind besides at the summit
The Snowpack seemed the same with no new freshies. The main difference was the pow was heavy. I kept sumbmarining my back ski. I think the snow was so heavy because we skied it pretty late after a day of it baking in the sun. Skied down the North side trees back to the sled/jeep road. tis a decent time
for those wondering, the dog did fine, just needs to work the powder a bit more. and so for the lack of photos, i have a lacko of camera
