Anyone get a view of the pass this weekend?
Saw new snow over toward Comanche Peak, but couldn't see the Diamond from where we were. Hoping to head up later this week, but can't decide between RMNP, Snowies (looked to have a dusting last week, nothing on WYDOT about 130 closures), or CP for some base gouging.
Also, Zach/Shane/Mtn. Shoppe - up and running yet for moving bindings around? |

Hiked up to blue lake on friday. Some perhaps skiable lines on windward troughs, but it'll be a storm or two more before the diamonds in (in my opinion; I'm sure someone has skiied it already).
Hopefully this all melts before it hoars out and kills us all... |

Hiked up Montgomery Pass on Sat AM. Wasn't expecting snow (Joe Wright was 0) but there actually was some down at road level. Then, a few inches on the Diamonds, and a surprisingly fresh few inches in and on the trees on the way
up.
Here's a crappy pic just after sunrise above MP on Sat, 3-Oct, looking South:
As we were just hiking, it was slow going in boots, but not enough to ride (and not enough to slide). Not sure what the rest of the weekend did, but after one good snow.... |

PM if any interest in going on a hike with skis on the pack this Thursday fairly early .
I'm heading up toward Comanche. Room for one, bringing a pup. |

I was up near Lake Agnes on Monday...there was about 2" of cover and it snowed the whole time we were up there. Above the lake, it had drifted in spots, making for some fun waist to chest deep wallowing. I'll post pics later tonight if I get a chance.
We have our shop up and rolling. Feel free to bring in any work you need done. We have picked up a few folks recently, including Ryan Raymond, who has tons of backcountry and teching experience. He was the customer service manager at Dynafit and has been in the industry for over 20 years.
He will be at the "Signatures" film premier tomorrow night, so be sure to swing by and check out our new gear and staff!
Cheers,
Cameron |

Yup. Ullr's stirring but could probably still use a good wake up party.
On the hike up to Emmaline Lakes yesterday, there was plenty of new snow but nothing continuous yet. Only put skis on for maybe 100 feet where things were blown in. Joe Wright doesn't show much, but judging from those pics If it snowed as much or more up at the pass, maybe it's only a good storm away... |

These are from yesterday afternoon. Windy and overcast on the drive over the pass:

From the CP lot looking out towards the Longest

| Nice, nice, nice! Man, that looks tasty. Hopefully the weather doesn't shift dramatically. Anyone dug around at all looking for depth hoar? This snow fell on pretty warm ground I assume, it could get ugly... |

| Right, I can only imagine snow this early means depth hoar issues for us once winter actually does settle in. It is Colorado after all. |

| Depth hoar is an issue every season in CO. Dig a pit to the ground and you will see it. Just because a season has little early snow does not mean you are safe. |

It is exciting, I have that feeling that it will be a good one this year!
Of course as you implied Brian, it all depends on how happy we make Ullr this year. _________________ "watch out, we're in bat country..." |

| Was anybody up this weekend? Is there any new snow? Did the old snow melt? When can I go skiing? It itches real bad... |

| I was up near the pass on Sunday. Snow was maybe a foot deep max, on lee slopes in the shade. Not ready IMHO. |
