Ah yes, April has been skiing like May or June this season.....which is kinda nice since I usually miss out on those months. Anyway, another biggin checked off for Ian and I. 8ish miles roundtrip, 3,000ish vertical. Point 13,418 and the Ascent Couloir sit south/southwest of Pettingell Peak. Herman Gulch was once again used to git up there. There was some hiking in the beginning, some rough skinning and some willow walking. It will come across shocking, but it was a warm bluebird, light breeze kinda day. We had perfect creamy corn.......and whiskey/redbull at the top!

Skinning at its finest

Ascent Couloir is the biggest one, many other options...just not this year

Ian got his "wings"

Dropping

Look at him go

Like a boss

This is part of the second pitch that drops you onto Herman Lake. Corn 8's

On the way out, willow walking, word

Some other details, 7:50 start, 11:50 top, 12:00 drop, 13:20 parking lot. Damn, I should be rapper.

It was not bad at all, it was great. The corn was the most consistent that I have seen in a couple years. It was nice to open it up a little and not worry about the snow conditions. I will get some pics up tonight.

It was one of the better days of the year due to the snow and ease of the acess. It was still hard but it felt like everthing worked out well. I guess thats what happens when you don't have any machines with you Surprised.
Lots of stuff to ski in the drainage to the north but not this year. Anywho some pics.
The Creek was open for quite a while.

Out of the woods

Getting clocer with the top of the line in view

Wings?

In the Chute

And away, the views from up there were pretty amazing

That's the sickest looking facial hair I've seen in a while - I'm impressed! Laughing
